UPS Truck on Fire

Crews in Tower were fighting a fire that engulfed a UPS delivery truck. According to the Northland Fire Wire, the fire broke out just after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. The UPS truck was in front of Zup’s Food Market on Main Street in Tower.

Fire and smoke could be seen billowing out of what was left of the cab, and crews continued to extinguish the flames as of 6 p.m.

The Northland Fire Wire says the driver was not injured. The truck was pulling a UPS trailer, that did not catch on fire.

The Tower Fire Department and Breiting Fire Department had been out fighting a cabin fire in Greenwood Township that started approximately at 3 p.m. Thursday.
