Transitioning to EV Fleets: Best Practices & Decision Tool
Webinar: Tuesday, August 12, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Several Minnesota agencies are in the process of transitioning their fleets to electric vehicles (EVs) to support the state’s greenhouse gas emission reduction goals. However, the transition pathway is not straightforward for all agencies, with challenges such as EV driving range and charging needs, charging infrastructure requirements, organizational and behavioral considerations, and financial hurdles.
This webinar will share findings from two surveys conducted of Minnesota agencies on behalf of the Minnesota Local Road Research Board project, Transitioning to EV Fleets: Best Practices and a Decision Tool. One survey focused on human factors and the other on the technological and operational aspects of fleet transition.
Additionally, example analyses of fleet mileage, fleet right-sizing, and charging station placement to illustrate approaches agencies can take to support EV adoption within their fleets will be presented.
