Sasha Bergman appointed as Minnesota Public Utilities Commission Executive Secretary
St. Paul, Minn. – The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission announced today the appointment of Sasha Bergman as its new Executive Secretary and Chief of Staff. In this critical role, Bergman will serve as the Commission’s chief administrative officer, responsible for managing staff and guiding the operational backbone of the organization.
Commission Chair Katie Sieben stated, “Sasha Bergman’s experience in state government will strengthen the Public Utilities Commission. Our staff is among the best, and Sasha’s proven leadership will enhance the Commission’s capacity and effectiveness. The five Commissioners are pleased she has accepted the position.”
Bergman brings nearly 20 years of state and local government experience, showcasing demonstrated leadership and management capabilities cultivated while working for the Tax Committee and in the Speaker’s Office in the Minnesota House of Representatives, in the Commissioner’s Office at the Minnesota Department of Revenue, in the Office of Intergovernmental Relations at the City of Minneapolis, and most recently in the Governor’s Office where she served as Assistant Chief of Staff for Policy, Administration, and Federal Affairs.

Bergman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
