The Mesabi Community Band will begin rehearsals for the 2025-26 concert season on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m., at the Eveleth City Auditorium. The band, under the direction of Bill Lavato and Daniel Melby, is planning for concerts in October, November and December.

One of the missions of the band is to perform shared concerts with local schools. Members have participated in these concerts at Cherry High School and most recently some members performed with the high school band at the Ribbon Cutting of the new Nashwauk-Keewatin High School.

The band is always looking for musicians from the whole Range area. Members range in ages from high school to senior citizens who enjoy performing a variety of music together.
