GREENWOOD TO HOLD RECREATION DAY AND POTLUCK JUNE 28, 2025

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, Tower, Minn. — June 6, 2025. The Greenwood Community Recreation Board invites the public to a Recreation Day and Potluck on Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. It will be held at the Greenwood Township Recreation Area at 3000 County Road 77, Tower, MN 55790.

This “Fun Rec Day” is open to the public from all area communities and will include a potluck picnic and activities for all ages. Families can play on the playground, tour a fire truck, and play pickleball, tennis, horseshoes, bocce ball and cornhole. The event will also serve as a Grand Opening for the pickleball courts built last fall.

Activities will be available 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The picnic will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Pavilion. Brats, hotdogs and bottled water will be provided. Please bring a dish to share.

Advance tickets will be sold for four raffle drawings to be held at 1 p.m. Raffle items include a 36” Blackstone 4-burner grill, a wheelbarrow of adult beverages, a Big Horn Outdoors tabletop stainless steel outdoor wood-fired pizza oven and a 10’ Quest Canyon kayak. You can purchase tickets for $20 from pickleball players or the Greenwood Recreation Board. You do not need to be present to win.
