*It’s the second oldest city in the Arrowhead region, incorporated on March 13th, 1889. (I grew up believing it was 1884?) Duluth is number one.

*Tower is named after Charlemagne Tower who was an investor in the Minnesota Iron Co. and Duluth/Iron Range Railway.

*Tower built it’s fire hall on main street in 1895.

*November 15th, 1901 Tower dedicated a monument to President McKinley who was assassinated prior to the dedication. The monument reads “Our Martyred President”
