Community Rallies Around Shawn Villebrun in HisFight Against Cancer
Friends, family, and neighbors are coming together to support Shawn Villebrun, who was diagnosed with stomach and liver cancer. Shawn is currently undergoing palliative care chemotherapy, facing his treatments with courage and the quiet strength that those who know him have always admired.
To help ease the burden of medical expenses and show Shawn how much he means to the community, a benefit will be held Thursday, October 17, at the Vermilion Club 3191 Old Hwy. 77, Tower, MN, from 5–9 p.m. The evening will feature live music, raffles, and a silent auction, creating a chance not only to raise funds but also to share memories, laughter, and encouragement.
Organizers invite everyone to come enjoy the music, bid on auction items, and show Shawn that he’s not alone in this fight. Donations and raffle proceeds will go directly toward helping cover his ongoing medical expenses.
Those unable to attend but wishing to support Shawn can reach out to event organizers for information on additional ways to contribute.
