Steve Solkela and The Road Kill Boys Perform at the LVCC

On Saturday, August 16 at 6:30 pm, the very talented Steve Solkela will return to St. Mary’s Hall for an entertaining program called, “Steve Solkela and the Road Kill Boys.” Solkela is an accomplished musician, comedian, stuntman, opera singer, actor, and composer known for his non-sensical sense of humor, creative mind, and unpredictable musical combinations.
Solkela will be joined by Tim Byrnes (guitar), Ken Gerard (banjo), and Dan Skorich (mandolin), all members of “the nearly proficient and occasionally entertaining” bluegrass band The Road Kill Boys (RKB). RKB has been a fixture on the Duluth bluegrass music scene for 20 years, playing regularly at venues including Amazing Grace Bakery, Clyde Iron, and Fourth Fest at Duluth’s Bayfront Park. Their repertoire includes traditional and contemporary bluegrass, acoustic country, Celtic, folk, and Americana styles of music. You won’t want to miss seeing these amazing performers. A suggested donation at the door will be $10 for adults and $5 for those under 18.
