The Sheriff’s Office has received numerous reports of a scam going around through text messages and want citizens to be aware. The messages are claiming to be from the Minnesota Department of Vehicles (DMV). They state you are in violation of Minnesota State Administrative Code 15C-16.003 related to an outstanding ticket.

Law Enforcement is aware of this scam and want to public to be informed of the scam going around. The Sheriff’s Office urges you not to reply to these messages.
