Timber Days is coming soon

COOK—Where does the time go? Cook’s Annual Timber Days is just 5 weeks away, offering fun-filled family days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 7, 8, and 9.

• Friday: Daylong Friends of the Library book sale; arts, crafts, food and beverage vendors, face painting, dunk tank, firefighters challenge, bean bag tournament, 5K Run and Walk, and Uncle Eric’s musical history tour at the Cook VFW from 6-9 p.m. Live music by Vitamin Brown at the Old Muni from 8 p.m.-12 a.m.

• Saturday: Pancake breakfast at the Cook Fire Department Hall from 8-11 a.m., a display on timber industry history, classic car show (12-4 p.m.), pet show starting at 11 a.m., barrel train, Cook’s Country Connection petting zoo, magic show at 12 p.m. at the gazebo, pony rides, bingo, and food, live music by the Beefeaters Bros. from 2-5 p.m., Bear Bots robotics team demo at 5 p.m., Elvis show at 6 p.m., live music by the Honkytonks & Hangovers from 7-11 p.m. at Old Muni, and live music by The Northwoods Band at Cook VFW from 8 p.m.-12 a.m. Fireworks at Doug Johnson Park at 10:15 p.m.

• Sunday: Church service at the gazebo in City Park at 11:30 a.m., lawn mower races, the drum and bugle corps, the Timber Days parade at 3 p.m., followed by live music, raffle prize drawings, and flag retirement ceremony at VFW Post 1757.

In addition, there will be Music in the Park by Robert Walker and Friends all three days.
